Megalithic site Poulnabrone dolmen, is a neolithic-era portal tomb set on a karst plateau. Shale-and-sandstone strata at the Cliffs of Moher emerge to dramatic heights in constant defence of the ocean. The Armada Spanish challenged the waters and perished in 1588 off the coast near Milton Malbay, now a fine golf course and beach resort.
