The most westerly settlement in Northern Ireland. Though mostly in County Fermanagh, part of the town crosses the border and the River Erne into County Donegal. Famous for Belleek Pottery the town produces pottery today using the same procedures of over 165 years.
Castle Archdale Country Park is a conservation area and includes a nature trail, butterfly gardens and wildflower meadows. Tully Castle which contains the remains of a 17th century fortified house along with beautifully restored gardens. A tragic history highlights Ulster’s turbulent past and there is a small exhibition. Ely Lodge Forest for broadleaved and coniferous trees and mature European larches thrive here. Enniskillen stroll the towns lively restaurants, pubs and shops.
Belleek Pottery operating since 1857, the Visitor Centre won the 2018 Northern Ireland Hospitality Awards for “Best Visitor Attraction”. Guided tours of the complete production process take a look at unique tools and techniques still used today.
